CURVES AND CASTLES


Visit Celano Castle. A two-wheeled journey through scenic curves and evocative castles, along Abruzzo's most charming roads.

Itinerary stages:

  1. Departure: Marina di Pescara Tourist PortThe tour begins in the heart of the Abruzzo coast, a meeting point for motorcyclists ready to set off on an adventure through history and breathtaking views.
  2. Stops in Manoppello, Scafa, Tocco da Casauria, and Popoli Terme. A route that passes through charming villages, with panoramic hairpin bends and unique views of the Abruzzo countryside.
  3. Castelvecchio Subequo: A stretch immersed in greenery that offers a pleasant driving experience amidst mountain landscapes and history.
  4. Celano – Stop to visit the Castle Arrive in Celano for a break of about an hour to visit the majestic Piccolomini Castle, the symbol of the city.
  5. Return to PescaraAfter the visit, we set off again towards Pescara, concluding the tour with driving excitement and culture.

HIS MAJESTY EMPEROR CAMPO


An international motorcycle tourism destination, His Majesty Campo Imperatore is a corner of pristine nature in the heart of the Gran Sasso National Park.

We start from Pescara and, from the coastal city, we immediately venture inland, enjoying the tranquility of the Abruzzo countryside and crossing the Elice hills to reach Penne, a town with ancient medieval walls and cobbled streets.

The journey continues towards Farindola, where the view begins to open up onto spectacular mountain panoramas. Here begins the climb to Rigopiano, a small mountain village nestled between the imposing peaks of the Apennines. The road winds through forests and slopes, offering exciting curves and breathtaking views.

Arriving in Rigopiano, the culmination of the journey approaches: Campo Imperatore. The vastness of this plain, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Gran Sasso, is breathtaking. The road through Campo Imperatore is a true spectacle for any motorcyclist, with its endless expanses of grass and the open sky that seems to touch the peaks of the surrounding mountains.

Continuing our journey, we will stop at Caffè Mucciante, a famous historic restaurant born from the “Way Station Café,” a fictional structure created for the 1977 film “Autostop Rosso Sangue.”

From Campo Imperatore, each motorcycle tourist continues toward their return destination, but not before breathing in the fresh, clean mountain air, admiring the vast meadows dotted with wildflowers, and enjoying the thrill of being on top of the world.

IN SEARCH OF MAJA


The route from Pescara to the Majelletta is as evocative as the mythology of the Abruzzo mountains, whose name derives from Maia, the ancient Greek goddess of fertility and spring awakening. The first stretch towards Pennapiedimonte is characterized by scenic roads that wind through green hills and valleys, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, you'll encounter small medieval villages and picturesque towns that invite you to stop to explore and sample local specialties.


Once you reach Pennapiedimonte, you'll come across the Il Balzolo panoramic viewpoint, which offers spectacular views of the Sagittario Valley and the Majella National Park. The winding roads leading to the viewpoint are a true delight for those who love curves and panoramic views.


Continuing along the road, you reach the Pomilio Refuge, an ideal place for a refreshing break immersed in the pristine nature of the Majella.


Finally, the route descends towards Manoppello, famous for its basilica housing the Sacred Face of Jesus, one of the most venerated relics in Christianity. Here, motorcycle tourists can immerse themselves in history and spirituality before returning to the fun and excitement of the Motovillage.

MINING ABRUZZO


The route crosses an area rich in stories of miners and mines, today remembered by numerous abandoned mining sites that tell the story of the activity linked to bitumen mining.

Crossing a coastal stretch that goes from Pescara to Francavilla, you continue towards the Alento Valley and then reach Ripa e Fara Filiorum Petri, a charming municipality in the province of Chieti that retains its typical medieval charm.

Pretoro welcomes us with its mountain landscapes and winding roads that lead to Passo Lanciano, where we immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the Majella National Park, a place of extraordinary wild beauty and rich geological history. Roccamorice, located within the park, offers the opportunity to explore ancient bitumen mines, vestiges of an industrial past now harmoniously integrated into the surrounding nature.



Continuing towards Abbateggio and Lettomanoppello, you pass through enchanting landscapes and still encounter bitumen mines, places that have characterized the Majella mining basin for over a hundred years.


We then return to Pescara, immersed in an extraordinary adventure, imagining them, the miners, torch in hand, coming back down the mountain after hours and hours of toil, faces whose history is still alive in the local consciousness.

MOTOMANGIANDO


Departure: Marina di Pescara Tourist Port

Stage 1: Casoli and Lake Casoli. First stop is Casoli, a charming village with a historic center steeped in history. Continuing, you'll reach Lake Casoli, a body of water surrounded by nature, perfect for a photo stop and a moment of relaxation.

Stop 2: Lama Dei Peligni – Sfogliatella Tasting We reach Lama Dei Peligni, home of the famous sfogliatella. Here, the municipal administration and the local Motorcycle Club welcome travelers for a taste of this typical dessert, a symbol of Abruzzo's gastronomic tradition.

Stop 3: TerraFonte Farm, Selva di Altino. Arrival scheduled for 12:00 PM at TerraFonte Farm, specializing in the cultivation and processing of sweet peppers. Visitors will attend a lesson on the origins of this unique product and will be able to taste it in various preparations, from appetizers to desserts.

Return: Marina di Pescara Tourist PortAfter a day exploring villages, flavors, and traditions, we return to the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, our hearts and palates enriched by an authentic and unforgettable experience.

MAJELLA NATIONAL PARK TOUR


An unforgettable route that passes through some of the most iconic and fascinating places of the Majella.

After leaving the Motovillage, we continue towards the first stop, Manoppello Scalo, from where we climb towards the peaks of the splendid Maiella.

We'll continue the tour through the picturesque San Leonardo Pass, a mountain pass where we'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Maiella peaks, reaching an altitude of approximately 1,058 meters above sea level.

The San Leonardo Pass represents one of the main gateways to the natural and cultural wonders of the Majella.

Then awaits us is Campo di Giove, a charming mountain village located in the heart of the Majella National Park.

We'll then reach Palena, a picturesque village that enchants visitors with its timeless beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This ancient village retains an authentic charm and offers a glimpse into the region's past and culture.

Finally we will pass by Lake Casoli, an oasis of tranquility nestled between the mountains, before returning to the Pescara Tourist Port.

FROM THE TRABOCCHI TO THE HILL


Blue is the color of this route that runs from Pescara along the Adriatic Sea, offering breathtaking views of a spectacular sea.

From Ortona, with its charming historic center and the Aragonese castle dominating the coast, we head towards San Vito via the Trabocchi coast, the stretch of coastline famous for its large fishing machines, which allowed large nets to be cast into the water for harvesting.


We continue to Guardiagrele, another hidden gem along the route, with its ancient medieval walls and historic churches, offering a pleasant break to explore and relax. Fara Filiorum Petri, with its charming historic center and cobbled streets, offers further opportunities for exploration and discovery.


We descend again through the well-known seaside town of Francavilla al Mare, to then immerse ourselves in the frenzy and celebration of the Motovillage

ABRUZZO: SECRET VILLAGES AND LEGENDS


The journey begins from the Pescara Tourist Port as the meeting and departure point.

Passing through Guardiagrele, a village at the foot of the Majella, we will continue towards

Roccascalegna with a visit to the Castle. This charming village is home to Roccascalegna Castle, perched on a cliff with breathtaking views and a fascinating history. On the way back, we'll pass Fossacesia Marina on the Adriatic coast, offering golden beaches and seafood specialties in its waterfront restaurants. After this motorcycle tour of history and nature, we'll return to Pescara and the Marina, filled with wonderful memories of this journey through the sea and villages of Abruzzo.

TOUR OF THE BADGES


A fascinating journey through the stunning landscapes of Abruzzo, with a special stop at the picturesque viewpoint of the Calanchi di Atri.

Itinerary stages:

  1. Departure: Marina di Pescara Tourist PortThe tour starts from the Adriatic coast, a meeting point for motorcycle and nature enthusiasts.
  2. A route through villages and hilly landscapes. A journey immersed in the Abruzzo hills, passing through charming villages and scenic roads.
  3. Stop at the Atri Calanchi panoramic viewpoint. The highlight of the tour: a break to admire the spectacular landscape of the Atri Calanchi, a unique geological formation offering breathtaking views.
  4. Visit to a craft brewery: A stop dedicated to discovering local craft beers, with the opportunity to taste unique products. A small tasting of craft beer made by Birrificio 93, in the hills of Montefino, in the province of Teramo, accompanied by small pizzas from the Pass e Fermati pizzeria.
  5. Continuing towards other locations in the Abruzzo hinterland, the journey continues through suggestive natural scenery and winding roads perfect for driving enthusiasts.
  6. Return to PescaraAfter an unforgettable experience of nature and adventure, we return to the starting point.

THE BOURBON ABRUZZO


An exciting journey through scenic curves and history, ending in Civitella del Tronto, one of Abruzzo's most charming villages, famous for its imposing fortress. Itinerary stops:

  1. Departure: Marina di Pescara Tourist PortThe tour begins on the Adriatic coast, a meeting point for motorcyclists ready to set off on an adventure rich in history and breathtaking views.
  2. A route through villages and hilly landscapes immersed in the Abruzzo hills, passing through charming villages and scenic roads ideal for driving.
  3. Arrival in Civitella del Tronto One of the most significant stops on the tour, with its charming historic center and the medieval atmosphere that envelops the village.
  4. Visit to the Civitella del Tronto Fortress An hour dedicated to exploring the famous fortress, one of the largest in Europe, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills and mountains.
  5. Return to PescaraAfter a day of culture and adventure on two wheels, we return to the starting point.
